The latest State of Manufacturing® survey will show how manufacturers assess their coming challenges and opportunities.
We are looking forward to sharing the results of our 14th annual State of Manufacturing® survey with friends, colleagues, and industry partners from 3-7 p.m. on November 15th at the Minneapolis Marriott Northwest.
We are just wrapping up our focus group interviews with manufacturing executives and it has been insightful and eye-opening to hear about what industry leaders are seeing on the horizon. Rapidly changing global economics, supply chain and transportation pressures, rising costs, and a record labor shortage have been impacting all companies, but just like we’ve seen every year so far, manufacturers have an admirable way of rising to the challenge and finding ways to get the job done.
Our pollster, Rob Autry of Meeting Street Insights, has been collecting data and will again join Enterprise Minnesota’s President and CEO Bob Kill on stage to help bring it to life for our audience.
Rob’s team interviewed over 550 Minnesota manufacturers statewide, and from each of the five McKnight Initiative Foundation regions in Greater Minnesota. Respondents provided thoughts, insights, and opinions on the issues they face in these unique times. Many leaders have done interesting things and they have some great ideas that kept their production moving, supply lines connected, and profits coming in.
As always, we’ll take the State of Manufacturing® results on the road to communities around Minnesota. These events are outstanding opportunities for local manufacturers, business leaders, economic development professionals, public policy makers, and community leaders to come together, celebrate manufacturing, and discuss ways to move the industry forward.
