Chip Tangen contributes to Enterprise Minnesota’s success by promoting and building public/private partnerships that support the manufacturing industry statewide. His wealth of experience working in manufacturing, public affairs, government, and legal arenas offers him a great understanding into how businesses can reach decision makers in the manufacturing industry.
Before joining Enterprise Minnesota, Chip served as a director of member and board relations at the National Association of Manufacturers, as a principal at the Podesta Group in Washington, D.C., as vice president of legislative affairs for Northpoint Technology in Washington D.C., and as director of communications for Citizens Advisers, Inc. in Portsmouth, NH. In addition, Chip served as legislative counsel for U.S. Congressman Jim Ramstad and is a veteran of gubernatorial and congressional campaigns.
A resident of Inver Grove Heights, outside of work, Chip enjoys CrossFit, playing the trumpet, and hiking with his wife, two children, and their dog.
