CI can be the answer to retaining employees.
We are delighted to be traveling to Duluth later this month to showcase one of our manufacturing workshops on the value of blending continuous improvement through people development. For those manufacturers in the Duluth region, this is definitely an event to attend.
Duluth native and resident Ally Johnston, one of our top continuous improvement consultants, is presenting Creating a Culture of Continuous Improvement from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at Lake Superior College (2101 Trinity Road, Duluth).
Ally works with manufacturers throughout the state, and she will share ways to engage manufacturing employees to drive improvement across the company. You’ll learn how and why company leaders need to foster daily engagement to help employees make small process improvements. Executives have told Ally that when their people make little improvements every day, they add significant value to company processes because the benefits compound over time.
Profitable manufacturing companies know that continuous improvement, done well, is an ongoing effort that changes the way people work, the way people think, the processes they use, and the capacity of the organization.
For manufacturing leaders embarking on this journey, it is important to provide a fundamental understanding of the goals and processes of lean and continuous improvement for the entire company. Having everyone on the same page and speaking the same “language of lean” will help these efforts tremendously.
The key to long-term CI success and overall retention is employee engagement. I look forward to seeing you at Lake Superior College!
